Fleet Feet
Join Fleet Feet Sports Madison for the Official Madison Mini-Marathon training program.  We will even help you train through the Madison Mini-Marathon all the way to your Fall Marathon of choice, if that is part of your goal.

You may ask what this program is all about.  Well, if your goal is to reach a certain goal time or simply finish, we can help with either of those.  The program is focused on injury prevention and making running a part of your healthy lifestyle.  We want to help everybody reach their goals safely.  We create a very welcoming environment for all levels, paces and ages of runners. 

$100 Program Fee Includes:

  • Paid entry for the 2010 Madison Mini-Marathon  
  • 11 week training schedule for the half marathon - June 7th
  • Sunday group long runs beginning June 13th
  • Fall Training technical running shirt 
  • Nutrition Seminar
  • Nutrition samples
  • Weekly emails providing motivation, coaching and advice on training
  • 10 week program dedicated to MMM
  • 15-18 week training schedule for a full marathon, depending on goal marathon
  • Detailed training program, indicating daily workouts, for Fall Marathon and MMM Training programs
  • Logistical support at the Madison Mini-Marathon
  • Routes laid out for your long run
  • Water on the long runs
  • The opportunity for one on one contact with our coaches through email and in person at the group runs

My First Half Marathon Team

About the Team
Join NBC15's Leigh Mills and Triple M's Pat Gallagher as they train to run the Madison Mini-Marathon. Whether you're a novice or experienced runner, you're invited to join the My First Half Marathon Team, with the goal of having fun, getting exercise, and, of course, finishing the race! This 12-week journey starts May 30, with Leigh and Pat hosting weekly training runs beginning and ending in various locations throughout Madison. Throughout the training, Leigh and Pat will blog about their experiences, as well as the issues and challenges that everyone faces while training to run a half marathon.

How do you join My Firist Half Marathon Team? 
To join the team is simply go to
www.MadisonMiniMarathon.comand click on Register. When registering, you will be asked if you would like to be a part of the My First Half Marathon Team; click Yes. A $25 donation to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Team in Training is your only cost to join the team.

Team In Training
Team In Training (TNT) has teamed up with the Madison Mini-Marathon & 5K.  TNT is the signature event of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and is the largest endurance training program in the world!  Since 1988, more than 420,000 TNT participants have raised over $1 billion for life saving cancer research and services to help blood cancer patients live longer, better lives! We train runners, walkers, cyclists and triathletes of all fitness levels to complete half and full marathons, century rides, and triathlons.  In exchange for personalized training and support, participants fundraise to help support LLS's mission: To cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

Fundrasing Minimum is $500. 
$250 due by July 1, 2010 and balance due by August 5, 2010.
